Roberto Moreno (1986) is a Spanish contemporary plastic artist, resident in who stands out for a versatile and daring compositional language to precisely marry poetry and everyday reality, lyrical iconography and critical reflection on the emptiness of a society devoted to the cult of immediacy and consumption.
The work of Roberto Moreno vindicates in depth and forms new views of the fluctuating postmodern reality, without renouncing the spirit of the classics and the genius of ancient art in the radiography of human psychology.
It is precisely in the portrait where Roberto Moreno finds one of the best channels of personal expression, being able to travel in his recognized creations from the most reserved symbolic serenity to the explosive Terribilitá of fulminating and tormented personalities.
His mastery and knowledge of the canons of classicism are the result of his time at different art schools in the city, although it is in the Faculty of Fine Arts that Roberto Moreno definitely finds his particular aggiornamento, which allows him to walk firmly today, with his own unique approach.

Despite his precocity as an author, his formal irruption into the art circuit dates back to 2012, with the first exhibitions in which he affirmed that the value of preparation and training is perfectly compatible with an extraordinary singular ability to fuse tradition and innovation, and to connect seemingly distant artistic fields and styles.
This was attested by works such as "Amalgama" (2017), a collective explosion in the Renaissance Provincial Palace of the Diputación de Jaén, where the creator reveals the diffuse borders between the universe of the plastic arts and the “flamenco duende” (“Flamenco duende” means the magic of flamenco art; when people says that a flamenco artist has “duende”, means that she/he has more than a good technic, they have a kind of magic touch that can eclipse the audience)
Roberto currently directs the Municipal Painting Workshop of Chauchina’s town, in Granada, leading with his students the consolidation of an authentic benchmark in Andalusia as a School of avant-garde and artistic experimentation in the 21st century.
